Ed Davis and Scott Smith

Ed Davis (left) and Scott Smith (right) have worked as a building team since their school days in New York. Since relocating to the Raleigh area 12 years ago they have specialized in renovations and seamless additions to the area's most beautiful and historic homes. They, along with their long standing crew of carpenters, are truly skilled and exacting and committed to quality workmanship. Always aware of the strain that construction places on a family, they are famously considerate and conscientious and are often welcomed back as old friends to take on additional projects.

Spears Mullen
It would surprise no one who has worked with Spears Mullen to find out that he graduated NC State with degrees in both mechanical engineering and history. His technical expertise and sensitivity to classical architectural form has led him to build homes that are not only beautiful and gracious but that also take advantage of the latest technological advances. Whether he is working on a residential or a commercial project it will be a perfect blend of old world quality and cutting edge construction methods.

Rande Smith
Rande Smith is a residential project manager. She has an MBA from Boston University and left behind a more traditional business career when she moved to North Carolina to start a residential construction company. Since working with Davis | Mullen she has handled in-fill development in Raleigh and worked as a project manager at The Oberlin, a luxury townhome community.

Joe Simpson
Joe Simpson is a project manager for commercial development. He brings 30 years of experience managing, leasing and developing commercial, residential and mixed use properties in Georgia, North Carolina and Saudi Arabia . Since joining Davis | Mullen in 2006, Joe has managed the construction of a newspaper distribution facility, a retail dry cleaning facility and is currently developing a mixed use condominium project. He is a licensed real estate broker.

Anne Marie Gaddy
Anne Marie Gaddy has a BFA in interior design. Before joining Davis | Mullen she worked as a designer for a tile and granite contractor. She is currently involved in residential remodeling and is our in-house licensed residential realtor.
